About Us:
Art Matakana opened in August 2009, to an overwhelming public response. Owners Bronwyn and Bill Harris have successfully run their "sister" gallery, Matakana Gallery, for several years, while manager Bronwyn Davies is well-known in the area, and has many years of experience after establishing several galleries since the late 80's.

The gallery represents a range of artists, from young and emerging artists to well-known and established names in the art world. There are some sculptures and a few select pieces of ceramics and glass, but the emphasis is on paintings, done in a wide range of media and styles. The diversity of the works, from abstract paintings to realist landscapes makes it possible to find something suitable for any home.

The gallery is committed to promoting contemporary New Zealand Art, with ongoing exhibitions and new works continuously displayed.
