Deborah Moss works across a range of media including painting, sculpture and object art. Her vibrant semi-abstract/abstract expressionist works have a strong narrative element and frequently reference nature which is a constant source of inspiration for this passionate conservationist. The artist and writer completed a BA in English and Sociology at the University of Auckland, followed by a MA (Hons) degree in Sociology and was a former director of a Fine Art gallery.
Based in Rodney, she has exhibited throughout New Zealand and her works are held in private collections nationally and overseas. Deborah was a recent finalist in the 2016 Fieldays No. 8 Wire National Art Award held in Waikato. She has a strong environmental focus using environmentally friendly material whenever possible and pledging to plant a native plant on her property each time an artwork of hers valued at $100 sells
