Libby McColl

The texures and colours of the understated and the overlooked. Rust, lichen, paint and rope on neglected and disused buildings and fence posts etc in our countryside are the inspiration for my paintings. The transforming into art as nature takes over and repossesses man made objects.

My technique is spontaneous and versatile, I use all manner of materials and tools as well as brushes. My aim being to make the artwork feel alive and breathing.
