Kaipara artist, Pauline Gough, is a self taught painter. Her aim is to paint intuitively and she works quickly in order to maintain a fresh result. Pauline was raised on a dairy farm north of Auckland and has been married to a dairy farmer for 28 years, hence the common theme of farm animals for her inspiration. Pauline has been painting and exhibiting prolifically since 2010 and is becoming known for her vibrant paintings. She was invited to be a feature artist in the New Zealand Artist magazine March/April 2014 edition.
She loves to paint in an impasto style, with energetic brushwork and deliberate texture. More recently, she has ventured into oils and is loving it. Pauline's works are held in private collections in NZ and all over the world.
