Sara langdon

Sara has a passion for the New Zealand landscape. Sara is a fourth-generation New Zealander based in Auckland, where she has grown-up creating; from painting small items to sell in a local craft market or winning colouring competitions as a child, through to a tertiary qualification in graphic design and photography.

She then went on to teach Art and share her love of the creative, and following a season teaching Art and Art History in Auckland secondary schools, she had the opportunity to travel and live in Europe. After a few years based in London, exploring the galleries & museums of England and Europe, she returned home with her family to Auckland. Sara and her husband Kent have three children, and they both take every opportunity to photograph the beauty and drama New Zealand’s landscape.

Sara’s current passion is the volcanic cones of Auckland, the green terraces and craters changing in the light – the way the each part of the city brings a new angle on such familar slopes. She works primarily in acrylic on board and paper.
