Wally was born in Durban, South Africa, 1957. He emigrated to New Zealand in 2007 with his family and currently resides in Auckland. Wally's main styles are landscape and abstract, which he frequently fuses, giving his work not only a natural sharp focal point, but a sense of whimsical as well. Both styles are brought together to portray places and objects, a comment of life's travels and experiences - prominently New Zealand ones. "I love the starkness - contrasts and raw textures - found within New Zealand. The natural beauty."
